Since water and blood both are in liquid form, this element come under the purview of blood. Moon and Venus both are considered to be a water element and thus govern water. Sun is considered to be the ruling deity of Fire. Fire is the major source of all kind of energies on earth. The light that emits from the core pof Sun is one of the most important reason for the existence of life on this planet. The fire persisting from the Sun gives energy to other planets as well. The shadow of darkness will cover the entire earth leading to destruction of life. In the absence of Sun, there will be no light on earth. As a matter of fact, Sun is source of fire that gives light on earth. The action of Fire comes under the purview of life. The karak element of Fire is the face or appearance. Mars and Sun are both fiery planets and considered to be the lord of the element Fire.

The senses of touch is related to skin of a body and air is the base of it. Scholars have categorized the qualities of Air in two parts - Word and Touch. If the brain of a human does not get sufficient Oxygen, then the body can also lose some of its essential senses that are necessary for a living life. Oxygen in the Air is essential for breathing and to light fire. Absence of air means absence of life on earth or any other plant for that matter. Air is composed of gases and elements that are essential for the survival of humankind. The earth is surrounded by Air from all the corners and thus, without Air and it functions no living organism can survive. The action of Air comes under the purview of breath. Touch or feel is the karak element of Air. Lord Shiva is considered to be the ruling deity of sky. Thus, the significance of space or sky cannot be overlooked at all. All these changes in the natural phenomenon affects human life as well. When the activities in the space take place then only earth is able to receive light, heat, gravity, magnetic fields et. This is the same concept of space and universe. When a person hears a word or a syllable then only he is able to grasp the meaning of it. In various ancient scriptures and vedas, the word, syllable and noise has been considered to be different forms of Lord Brahma. “”Word” is the special feature of space and is related to the ears of a human.

All these five elements are present in the balanced state in this universe. Scholars since ancient time believe that the universe is made with the composition of five elements.
